Uttarakhand encompasses snow-capped mountains, picturesque villages and wild rivers as well as a rich and varied wildlife all of which combine to make it a wonderful adventure destination offering wildlife safaris, white water rafting and incredible trekking in the lower Himalaya. This itinerary takes you on a journey through three of its destinations to showcase India at its natural and picturesque best.  The better-known places are Corbett National Park, India’s first designated tiger reserve, a stunning forest throng with birds, elephants and tiger. Rishikesh, better known for the Beatles, ashrams and yoga is now ironically undergoing its own reincarnation and transforming into a picturesque and fun adventure destination with a predominant focus on treks as well as white-water rafting on the Ganges. Kumaon is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalayan foothills, treks though remote villages, staying in village houses and walking on tracks of fallen rhododendron flowers, make this a must visit part of India.
