This is one of the most popular itineraries for first time visitors to India, it comprises of the Golden Triangle as well as Ranthambhore National Park.

What will you see? In terms of sites there’s: Old Delhi & the Jama Masjid, New Delhi with its Lutyens architecture and Humayun’s Tomb. In Agra, of course there is the The Taj Mahal and then in Jaipur with its City Palace, Amber Fort, Observatory and Palace of Winds and then tigers and other wildlife in Ranthambhore.

What else can be included? It is easy to adapt this itinerary in two ways. One is to include some additional activities tailored to your particular reasons for wanting to visit India apart from seeing the main sights. These can include early morning cycle rides in Delhi and Jaipur, visits to spice markets and learning how to cook an authentic Indian meal, a visit to an NGO for rescued bears and elephants or a street food tour of Delhi, amongst others. It is also possible to add a couple of additional destinations into this itinerary to allow you to explore a more rural side of the country.

Sample Itineraries:
Classic Taj and Tigers: Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore, Jaipur.
Taj and Tigers with a twist: As above but with a culinary tour in Delhi, an NGO in Agra, and a hot air balloon safari in Jaipur.
BTT Signature Itinerary: Delhi, Chambal, Agra, Ranthambhore, Ramathra, Jaipur.
Adventure in the Golden Triangle: Include a cycle tour of Delhi, a walking tour in Agra and a half day trek in the hills behind the Amber Fort in Jaipur.
