Uttarkahand is famous for its spiritual destinations of Haridwar and Rishikesh which are situated on the Holy River Ganges however, it is also wonderful as a wildlife, trekking and adventure travel destination.

What will you see? The lower ranges of the Himalayas, stunning scenery, snow-capped mountain peaks, forests, rivers and streams. In addition there are temples, river side pujas in holy cities and spirituality in abundance. The birdlife is prolific and there is some good wildlife too in Rajaji and Corbett National Parks.

What else can be included? In addition to the better-known destinations already mentioned, Uttarakhand is wonderful for catch and release angling, white water rafting (half day to multi day expeditions) as well as for multi day treks from the lower Himalayan foothills to the Glaciers in the higher mountains.

Now this is a really fun, off beat itinerary for the more adventurous, active traveller. What is included? Trekking from village to village in the mesmerizingly beautiful foothills of the Himalayas, heading out on safari in the jungles of Corbett National Park and crashing down the thundering River Ganges white water rafting!

What else can be included? This is pretty off beat anyway, so we can add some of the usual things here, the evening arti in Rishikesh.
